Instead of traipsing over to the nearest Alaska Department of Fish and Game office, fishing and hunting licenses and an array of other services are now available at the department’s online store.

Customers can print licenses at home and purchase big game tags, king salmon and duck stamps and commercial crewmember licenses. More than one license can be purchased in a single transaction.

“Having more customers purchase their licenses online saves the department money by eliminating the need to manually data capture the paper licenses,” Michelle Kaelke, Fish and Game’s licensing supervisor, said in a press release.
